Short version: some links on this site earn us money. Here’s how that works and why it doesn’t change what we recommend.
How We Make Money
When you click on a coupon code, a deal link, or a “visit website” button on Couprix and then make a purchase, the software company pays us a small commission. This is called affiliate marketing. It’s how most review and coupon websites stay in business.
You don’t pay anything extra. The price is exactly the same whether you click our link or go directly to the vendor’s website. The commission comes out of the company’s marketing budget, not your wallet.
Does This Affect Our Reviews?
No. And I know every affiliate site says that, so let me explain why I actually mean it.
We’ve turned down affiliate partnerships with products we tested and didn’t like. If a tool has a generous affiliate program but performs poorly, we’ll still say it performs poorly. The review score reflects the product quality, not the commission rate.
Here’s a real example: some hosting companies pay $100+ per sale in affiliate commissions. Others pay $30. We’ve given higher ratings to some of the $30-commission hosts because their performance was genuinely better. If we optimized for commissions, we’d just recommend whatever pays the most. We don’t.
Every review includes things we didn’t like about the product. If we can’t find genuine downsides, we’re not testing hard enough.
Which Networks We Work With
We participate in affiliate programs through networks including ShareASale, Impact, CJ Affiliate, PartnerStack, and some direct affiliate programs run by individual SaaS companies. The specific relationship is disclosed within each article.
How You Can Tell
Every article that contains affiliate links has a disclosure notice near the top. It looks like this:
Disclosure: This article contains affiliate links. If you purchase through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
If you see that notice, the article has affiliate links. If you don’t see it, it doesn’t.
Our Coupon Plugin (Not an Affiliate Product)
The Couprix WordPress plugin is free, open source, and doesn’t generate affiliate revenue for us. We don’t earn money when you install it. It exists because we built it for our own use and decided to share it with the WordPress community.
