Most coupon websites don’t test their codes. They scrape them from other sites, slap them on a page, and hope for the best. You’ve probably tried a “verified” coupon code before, only to see “invalid code” at checkout. We have too. That’s why we do things differently.
We Test Every Single Code Ourselves
There’s no automated system here. No bot checking codes. No scraping from other coupon sites. I (Aman Jha) personally go to the vendor’s website, pick a plan, get to the checkout page, and type in the coupon code. If the discount shows up, the code gets published. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t go on the site.
It’s that simple. And honestly, it takes a lot of time. But it’s the only way I can put my name on a code and tell you it works.
Our 5-Step Process
Here’s exactly what happens before any coupon makes it onto Couprix:
Step 1: We get the code directly. We don’t copy codes from competitor websites. Our codes come from three places: direct partnerships with the SaaS company, the affiliate program dashboard, or a public promotion the company is running. If we can’t find the original source, we don’t publish it.
Step 2: We test it in a real browser. I open Chrome (no ad blockers, no extensions that might interfere), go to the vendor’s website, pick a plan, and enter the code at checkout. This takes about 3-5 minutes per code. Some codes only work on specific plans or billing cycles, so I test multiple combinations.
Step 3: We screenshot the checkout. If the code works, I take a screenshot showing the discount applied. This screenshot becomes our proof. Some of these appear in our articles so you can see the code actually works before you try it yourself.
Step 4: We write down the details. For every working code, I record: the exact code, how much it saves (percentage or dollar amount), which plans it works on, any restrictions (new customers only, annual plans only, etc.), and the date I tested it.
Step 5: We publish with a date. Every coupon article on Couprix shows a “Last verified” date near the top. That date tells you exactly when someone last confirmed the code works.
What Happens Every Monday
Coupon codes expire. Companies change their promotions. A code that worked last week might not work today.
So every Monday morning, I go back through every published coupon article and re-test the codes. The process is the same: open the vendor’s site, go to checkout, enter the code, check if it still works.
If a code still works, I update the “Last verified” date.
If a code stopped working, I update the article immediately. I’ll mark the old code as expired and look for an alternative. If there’s no working code, I’ll say that honestly and suggest other ways to save (like annual billing discounts or free trials).
I won’t leave a dead code on the site pretending it still works. That’s the exact problem I’m trying to solve.
What If There’s No Coupon Code?
Not every software tool has a public coupon code. When that’s the case, I say so. You’ll never see us list a fake code or a random string hoping it works.
Instead, we’ll tell you the best way to actually save: annual billing (which usually saves 15-30%), free trial offers, or seasonal sales that happen at predictable times of year.
Honest information about saving money is more useful than a fake coupon code that wastes your time at checkout.
Who Does the Verification?
Me. Aman Jha. I’m the founder of Couprix and the person behind the Couprix WordPress plugin (10,000+ active installs on WordPress.org). I’ve been working in SaaS affiliate marketing for over 5 years. I built the plugin because I needed a better way to display coupon codes on my own sites, and I couldn’t find a free tool that handled schema markup correctly.
I test the products I write about. I use many of them myself. And I verify the codes personally because my name is on this site.
You can find me on LinkedIn or Twitter/X.
Got a Broken Code?
If you try a code from our site and it doesn’t work, email me at aman@couprix.com. I’ll check it within 24 hours and update the article. Your feedback actually makes this site better for everyone.
